HERMÈS BY MARGIELA AW1998 VAREUSE CASHMERE AND SILK KNIT

Vareuse cashmere and silk jersey with a deep plunging V-neck, possibly one of the most iconic details defining Martin Margiela's era at Hermès. This neckline can be found in nearly every Margiela's collection at Hermès, adapted into different shirts, dresses and outerwear. Featured in Vogue Australia July 1998, Vogue September 1998 and on the Hermès AW1998 runway. Holes in sleeve and in the front has been fixed, they remain barely visible as seen in photos 9-12. Composition label has faded for not being able to tell the exact percentages.
