From the SS1999 collection, the Linen Vareuse shirt features a plunging V-neck, which is possibly one of the most iconic details defining Martin Margiela's era at Hermès. This distinctive neckline can be found in nearly every collection throughout his tenure, adapted into different shirts, dresses and outerwear. The deep V-neck allows the wearer to remove the garment without messing up her hair by sliding it off the shoulders to tie the sleeves around the waist.

The shirt is in perfect condition, however there are pieces of extra linen added to both sides by a professional tailor to make the shirt fit oversize, which is why composition- and size labels are missing. The work can be reversed by request.
