HERMÈS BY MARGIELA ICONIC AW1998 ANTI-PLUIE COAT
From the first collection Martin Margiela designed for Hermès, an ultra-light raincoat in a transparent voile weave—also known as the anti-pluie—specifically developed fabric that repels water and protects the coat or a jacket underneath in the most elegant way, and it doesn’t crease when tucked into a bag. The piece can be beautifully transferred into evening occasions, worn as a peignoir de soir over a dress or a tuxedo. Subtle slits on the sides allows the wearer to slip hands into the pockets of the coat or jacket worn underneath. Brand-,size- and composition tags have been removed, slightly unraveled seams underarms and very minor thread pulls in the hem, otherwise in a very good condition.
